CHEYENNE, Wyoming - Laramie County Community College is proud to announce it has once again been asked to participate in the eighth year of the prestigious Metallica Scholars Initiative (MSI). Supported by a generous $50,000 grant aimed at continuing the college's Essential Systems Technician training program, ÌÇÐÄÔ´´ will provide participants with entry level skills for plumbing, electrical, and HVAC careers. The college will once again partner with Advanced Comfort Solutions, Laramie County School District 1 and Dads Making a Difference, a Wyoming Department of Workforce Services program that supports fathers with job training and key life skills. As a two-time MSI participant, ÌÇÐÄÔ´´ has received $125,000 in support of skilled trades training programs throughout the initiative's existence.

The recommendation marks a significant milestone in the college's efforts to strengthen its visibility, reach a broader market and help build the talent pipeline needed by Wyoming's communities and employers.
CHEYENNE, Wyoming - Laramie County Community College invites media representatives to attend a community gathering on August 17, where ÌÇÐÄÔ´´ President Dr. Joe Schaffer will share the recommended new name for the college following a four-year process of research, engagement and input from individuals across the region.
CHEYENNE, Wyoming - Ceramic sculptures shaped by memory, sensory experience and the natural world will fill the Esther and John Clay Fine Art Gallery at Laramie County Community College this fall.
